Traveling to Graz

The following information should help you plan your journey to Graz more easily:

• By plane:
  

  Graz International airport is located to the south of the city of Graz and is served by major European and Austrian airlines. It has good and regular connections to the big middle-European air-traffic hubs like Frankfurt or Munich.

• By train:
  

  Graz is well-connected to all major cities within Austria and neighbouring countries. For details, please consult the web page of the Austrian Railways, ÖBB. The english version of their connections query page can be found here.

• By car
  

  Graz can be reached via the austrian motorways A2 and A9. The A2 Connects Vienna and the south of Austria and runs in a north-east - south direction. The A9 connects Upper Austria in the north and the Austrian-Slovenian Border to the south of Graz.

Getting to the Institute in Graz

The University of Graz and the physics institute are located a few minutes north-east of the city centre. The campus can be reached by car (coming from the motorways A2 (southeast) or A9 (north)) or public transport (railway station, city centre).

• Public Transport:
  

  To the left of this map, click on "Öffentlich" and select one of the Public Transportation Lines connecting either railway station or city center with the university campus.

• By car
  

  To the left of this map, click on "Privat" and select "Autobahn Abfahrt Nord" or "Autobahn Abfahrt Ost" when arriving via the A9 or A2, respectively.

Buildings and Offices

The group is localized in two separate buildings, which are a few hundred meters apart. If you want to find out, where each group member is located, please go to her/his contact page in the members section.

• Universitätsplatz 5
  

  Universitätsplatz 5 is the main address of our group in the physics building on the university campus. Most members of the physics institute have their offices in this building.

• Mozartgasse 14
  

  Our group has a branch located at Mozartgasse 14 on the second floor (third floor US).
