Information about the School
The school will begin in the afternoon of Saturday, February 25th with the registration from 3:00-6:00 pm in the "Stadtsaal" (by the Hauptplatz). In the evening, at 7:00 pm, there will be the official opening of the school to be followed by a banquet. Registration will re-open on Sunday, February 26th, at 8:45 am. The lectures will start on Sunday morning at 10:00 am. The closing of the school will take place on Saturday, March 3rd at noon after a morning session of lectures.
The main part of the program of the Schladming Winter School is filled by lectures given by the key speakers. The lectures are all held in English. In addition, a limited number of 20-minute timeslots will be available for participants to give a seminar. There is also the option to present a poster. You can indicate your interest to give a seminar or present a poster by submitting a title and abstract upon completing the registration form registration form.
With blocks of lectures and seminars in the morning and late afternoon every day, there is a long lunch break suitable for discussions, skiing or other activities. For details please check the Schedule.
Bank transfer of registration fee
Applicants are required to complete the registration form on this page and to pay the registration fee either via bank transfer by February 18th, 2012 or in cash upon registration at the school. The following conference fees apply:
- Regular (including proceedings): € 215,-
- Reduced (without proceedings): € 160,-
- Reduced fee for diploma/master/PhD students upon advance application (including proceedings): € 155,-
- Reduced fee for diploma/master/PhD students upon advance application (without proceedings): € 100,-
The proceedings will tentatively be published as a separate volume of Nuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements. The above fees apply for bank transfers reaching us by February 18th, 2012. For cash payment at the registration desk € 10,- will be added.

Otherwise, participants can submit an accommodation request to the organizing committee when completing the registration form registration form. The form will then be forwarded to the Tourismusverband Schladming, who will subsequently notify the participants about their reservation.
Note: Accommodation should be arranged well before the application deadline.
The lectures take place in the Stadtsaal (town hall) of Schladming, which is located at the East end of the Hauptplatz (main square) of Schladming. An interactive map of the city can be found here. Many other places of interest (restaurants, bars, the Planai cable car's bottom station, most hotels) lie within walking distance of the main square. A list of restaurants and other places of interest will be provided for participants in the welcome folder.
Internet access will be provided for participants in the Stadtsaal via a WLAN. Details will be announced at the beginning of the school.
