Fireshow

Lose the fear of fire - but keep the respect: One of the hobbies I recently acquired - giving artistic performances with firestaff, torches & the like. Most techniques and tricks I know I have learned from the duo Kalynia and Sonnenstrahl, Sunfire-Feuertanz, and Franz Hofer, INFIRE. By now I am a member of Flammenkinder von Bluot zi Bluoda.

Webcomics

• Piled Higher and Deeper - the PhD Comics, for those of use involved in some kind of thesis writing
  My personal favourites: Many, e.g. Your Life Ambition, Lab Food Chain, Authors List, The Thesis (read on), A Smithmas Carol (read on). While there are lots of "independent comics", one finds also long storylines and considerable character developement, so it pays off to read all the comics in chronological order (which may admittedly take some time); there is also a New to PhD page.
• Order of the Stick: Role-play oriented webcomic, particularly funny for those familiar with the DnD 3 or 3.5 rules
  My personal favourites: There are lots of them [like #10 (Sleep Spell), #34 (Bonus), #253 (Larry Gardener), #306 (Power Word), #423 (Titanium), #456 (Cleric Duel)], but since they are built around a complex storyline, these comics should be read in chronological order.
  
• What if Lord of the Rings had just been an RPG session? See DM of the Rings! Or Star Wars? See Darths & Droids!
  
• Some of the best webcomics in German: Nicht lustig, Shit happens, Flix-Heldentage
• Various: Useless, 15 Things Worth Knowing about Coffee, Why it's better to pretend you know nothing about Computers

Crackpot Theories

They are not meant to be funny, but nevertheless it can be quite entertaining to read through them. Sometimes it is easy to spot the errors, sometimes it is almost impossible to find them since there are rarely any meaningfull statements contained at all. (For a way to rate those concepts, see The Crackpot Index):

• Mathe-Reform (in German) - claims that minus times minus ought to be minus (while plus times minus is not defined)
• Fixed Earth: still trying to defend the geocentric system...
