Grazer astrophysicist in the board of the Austrian Society for Astronomy and Astrophysics elected.

On September 30th, the Austrian Society for Astronomy and Astrophysics (ÖGAA) held its general assembly and elected a new board for the coming period.

On the newly appointed board of directors, the Institute of Physics at the University of Graz is strongly represented by two university assistants and junior research group leaders from the astrophysics department. Paul Beck was confirmed in his position as Vice President, which he has held since 2020. Philippe Bourdin was newly elected to the board, where he will take on the role of Deputy Treasurer.

The ÖGAA represents professional astronomical and astrophysical research at the Universities of Graz, Vienna, and Innsbruck, as well as the Institute for Space Research (IWF) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Graz.
