Paul Urban Scholarship Foundation

for Theoretical Physics at the Karl-Franzens-University Graz

In 1990, the em.O.Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr.Dr.h.c. Paul Urban (15.06.1905 - 14.02.1995), director of the Institute of Theoretical Physics from 1947 to 1975, dedicated an amount of one million Schillings from his private fortune to establish the "Paul Urban Scholarship Foundation of the Institute of Theoretical Physics of the Karl-Franzens-University Graz".

The purpose of this foundation is to use its proceeds to award scholarships to students of Theoretical Physics and to younger members of the Department of Theoretical Physics of the Institute of Physics of the Karl-Franzens-University Graz to cover expenses for participation in scientific meetings and/or shorter research stays abroad, as well as to foreign scientists to finance guest stays which are useful for ongoing or planned research projects of the Institute.

The annual program budget is € 2.000,00 The deadline for submission of documents is unlimited.
