Bound states in QCD and beyond III
Schlosshotel Rheinfels, Germany. 9th - 12th April 2019

Welcome to St. Goar Conference 2019

The aim of this workshop is to bring together leading international experts and young researchers on

  • Bound states in quantum field theory
  • Baryons, mesons, glueballs, and exotics in QCD
  • Excited state spectroscopy
  • Resonances and decays
  • Bound states beyond the standard model
  • Experimental detection of bound states
  • Structure of bound states

  • to present and discuss recent developments and fundamental issues.

This workshop focuses mainly on theoretical aspects, but will also include overview presentations of experiments.

The number of participants is limited to about 50. About a half of the time will be filled with shorter contributed talks, in particular from young researchers. Ample time is forseen for discussions. A permanent presentation of posters will be possible.

    Invited speakers:

  • Carlota Andres (JLab, USA)
  • Raul Briceno (Old Dominion, USA)
  • Ian Cloet (Argonne, USA)
  • Zohreh Davoudi (Maryland, USA)
  • Stefania De Curtis (Florence, Italy)
  • Evgeny Epelbaum (Bochum, Germany)
  • Anthony Francis (CERN, Switzerland)
  • Anna Hasenfratz (Boulder, USA)
  • Ryan Mitchell (Indiana, USA)
  • Sebastian Neubert (Heidelberg, Germany)
  • Jose R. Pelaez (Madrid, Spain)
  • Alessandro Pilloni (ECT*, Italy)
  • Daria Sokhan (Glasgow, UK)
  • Justin Stevens (William & Mary, USA)
  • Ulrike Thoma (Bonn, Germany)
  • The workshop is jointly organized by Christian Fischer (Giessen, Germany), Axel Maas (Graz, Austria), and Jozef Dudek (JLab, USA).

This workshop is the seventh at St. Goar on QCD, following the workshops Bound states in QCD and beyond II in spring 2017, Bound states in QCD and beyond in spring 2015, HIC-for-FAIR workshop on Quarks, Gluons, and Hadronic Matter under Extreme Conditions I in spring 2011 and HIC-for-FAIR workshop on Quarks, Gluons, and Hadronic Matter under Extreme Conditions II in spring 2013, the EMMI workshop: Quarks, Hadrons, and the QCD Phase Diagram in fall 2009 and the 415th Wilhelm & Else Heraeus Seminar "Quarks and Hadrons in strong QCD" in spring 2008.
