Arqus – Building Bridges

Wednesday, 18 October 2023

Sarah Lindner, member of the group Optics of Nano and Quantum Materials, selected for the Arqus Mentoring Program for Early-Stage Researchers.

Sarah Lindner is one of 18 mentees from the nine universities contributing to the Arqus European University Alliance. The newly selected mentees were matched with established researchers from other Arqus universities to participate in a nine months mentoring program.  The latter focuses on topics like career decisions, research methods, and science communications, and is also a great opportunity to build a strong network amongst the Arqus universities.

In the kick-off workshop on October 5-6 hosted by the University of Graz, Sarah Lindner engaged in detailed discussions with her fellow mentees in training and peer-group sessions.

Sarah is looking forward to a strong mentoring relationship with her distinguished mentor Cinzia Sada, who is a professor at the Physics and Astronomy department of the University of Padua. This relationship will help to strengthen the international bond between the University of Graz and the University of Padua.
