Meteorologische Station der Universität Graz registrierte höchste Juni-Temperatur seit Beginn der Aufzeichnungen

37,2 Grad Celsius zeigte das Thermometer am 27. Juni 2019 an der meteorologischen Station der Universität Graz. „Das ist für den Juni die höchste Temperatur, die seit Beginn der Aufzeichnungen im Jahr 1890 am heutigen Campus registriert wurde“, informiert Ulrich Foelsche vom Institut für Physik. Seit 1894 werden Temperatur-Extremwerte zuverlässig erfasst. Der bisherige Juni-Rekord lag bei 36,0 Grad, gemessen im Jahr 1950. Insgesamt wurde der gestrige Extremwert an der Wetterstation der Universität Graz nur zweimal übertroffen: Im Jahr 2013 kletterte das Thermometer am 29. Juli und am 8. August jeweils auf 38,1 Grad.
