The instruction language in the Master's Degree Program Physics is English. It offers an impressive variety of possible specializations, which is reflected by the large number of modules that you can choose from. You can specialize in astrophysics, climate research, nanophysics or elementary particle physics. Moreover, you may as well combine modules from these different areas according to your own interests.

The Master's Degree Program Technical Physics is held in English. It provides an up-to-date education in physics, with close links to research and industry, and offers a wide range of options for specialisation, for example in nano- and quantum materials, laser spectroscopy, or computer simulations from basic research to targeted materials development.

This Master’s Program is run in collaboration with Graz University of Technology, offering the distinctive advantage of outstanding research facilities. You will benefit not only from the expertise of two universities, but also that of numerous other institutions in Graz, including the Space Research Institute (part of the Austrian Academy of Sciences), and Joanneum Research.

The Master’s Degree Program Advanced Materials Science is part of the collaboration between the University of Graz and Graz University of Technology (NAWI Graz), and provides a comprehensive introduction to materials and their characteristics, composition, function and diverse applications in practically every sphere of modern engineering and technology.
