The Physics Teacher Training Programs are structured according to the Bachelor's/Master's principle (8/4 semesters) and comprises 240 or 120 ECTS, whereby the courses are divided into subject-specific, subject-didactic and educational science components. The Teacher Training Program offers a good balance between theory and practice, between teaching and learning and between currently relevant topics and established, traditional physics knowledge.

General Secondary Level Teacher Training Bachelor’s Program

The teacher training program is organized and provided jointly by eight institutions working on a collaborative basis in the South-East Development Network (EVSO). In this study program you will benefit from the combined strengths of all these institutions, and a broad range of study options. Your first school experience takes place as early as the second semester!

General Secondary Level Teacher Training Master’s Program

The master’s program enhances your expertise and completes your training. As an alternative to the teaching profession, you will also be qualified to pursue a research career at the University of Graz.

Teaching the subject of Physics - Master’s Program in General Secondary Level Teacher Training

The master’s program enhances your expertise and completes your training. As an alternative to the teaching profession, you will also be qualified to pursue a research career at the University of Graz.

For the teacher training program you must select at least two subjects or one subject as well as a specialist area of education.
