Philipp Schreiner erhält Studierendenpreis der ÖPG

Philipp Schreiner erhält den Young Minds Studierendenpreis der ÖPG

Einer der alljährlich an zwei Personen für ihre Masterarbeit vergebenen Studierendenpreise der ÖPG Nachwuchssektion geht dieses Jahr nach Graz.

Philipp Schreiner erhält ihn für seine theoretische Arbeit zum Spektrum des minimal supersymmetrischen Standardmodells in der Arbeitsgruppe von Prof. Axel Maas. In der gewürdigten Arbeit zeigte er, dass das messbare Spektrum mit dem naiven Spektrum in dieser Theorie übereinstimmt, und validierte damit rund 30 Jahre an theoretischen Vorhersagen in der Phänomenologie dieses experimentell intensiv untersuchten Modells. Dies ist alles andere als selbstverständlich, und in einigen anderen populären Theorien wurde so Diskrepanzen zutage gefördert.

Die Arbeit wurde in einem, derzeit in Begutachtung befindlichen, Manuskript veröffentlicht.
